Karen joined Marts & Lundy in 2012 as a senior consultant and principal. She currently leads the Schools Practice and serves on Marts & Lundy’s Board. Before joining the firm, she served Brooks School in Massachusetts for 14 years as the Director of Advancement. During that time she was responsible for significant growth in all areas of development and led the school through two consecutive campaigns focused on endowment and new facilities. Prior to her work at Brooks, Karen was director of leadership gifts at Northfield Mount Hermon School in Massachusetts, but notably served in lead roles in research and annual giving. She brings to clients a solid practitioner’s foundation. This has benefited advancement efforts of the 40-plus independent schools she has counseled since joining the firm.
With firm colleagues, and in partnership with TABS, Karen conducted a 2013 study in international giving, presenting the results in spring 2014. She continues to partner with TABS on joined interests in the sustainability of independent schools.
